Police seek more victims of man arrested for sexual assault

Las Vegas police are looking for any potential victims of a man suspected of sexual assault of a minor.

Everardo Mata-Zuniga, 53, was arrested by police Friday and faces two charges of sexual assault of a victim under the age of 14.

The two charges stem from incidents that occurred between 2010 and 2013. Mata-Zuniga, an unlicensed food vendor, is suspected of showing the victim pornographic videos before assaulting her, according to police.

Mata-Zuniga sold food from a bicycle in apartments and parks near the area of Pennwood Avenue and Arville Street, and police believe that there may be more victims in that area.

Mata-Zuniga is described as having black and grey hair, brown eyes, 175 pounds and about 5 feet, 5 inches.

This is an open investigation. Anyone with any information concerning possible victims is urged to contact police at 828-3421 or to remain anonymous call 385-5555 or go to crimestoppersofnv.com.
