Woman critically injured in northeast Las Vegas stabbing

A woman is in critical condition after she was stabbed twice Friday night in the northeast valley, Las Vegas police said.

Officers responded to the stabbing about 9 p.m. to 4300 Lamont St., near Craig Road and Nellis Boulevard, Metropolitan Police Department said.

A 38-year-old woman was hospitalized with critical injuries and underwent surgery, Metro Lt. Peter Kisfalvi said.

Police are investigating and searching for the attacker, Kisfalvi said.

No further information was available.
