3 new CDs you need

Three recommended new CDs released today:

Dust Moth, “Dragon Mouth”: This self-described “heavy gaze” quintet lives up to that designation with singer Irene Barber’s vulnerable yet stirring vocals cutting through a haze of guitars like a fog light.

Various Artists, “In Utero, In Tribute”: Awesomely idiosyncratic indie label Robotic Empire finally releases this years-in-the-making tribute to Nirvana’s “In Utero” highlighted by Jesus Lizard disciples These Arms Are Snakes’ sinister “Heart Shaped Box,” Young Widows’ hyperventilating “Dumb” and Thou’s tectonic-plate-heavy “Milk It.”

Harakiri for the Sky, “Aokigahara”: Beautiful, bracing post-metal from a Viennese duo whose enveloping sound is suggestive of 10 musicians working in unison as opposed to two.
