50 Shades of SpongeBob: Theater almost shows wrong film to families

Workers at a movie theater in Colorado may have been 50 shades of red on Monday.

A moviehouse in Loveland, Colo., mistakenly started showing the R-rated “50 Shades of Grey” in a theater full of parents and children waiting to see “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.”

Joe Jaramillo of Johnstown, Colo., said some parents were quickly removing their children from the theater.

“The family sitting behind me said what I was thinking: ‘Am I in the right theater?’ ” Jaramillo said in USA Today.

“50 Shades of Grey” only ran a short time, showing the very beginning of the movie. The screen then switch to previews of children’s movies.
