WWE wrestlers hit Vegas in ‘Raw’

Maybe we’re being naive — or just really, really old — but every time the WWE comes to town, we keep hoping for the return of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka.

He’s not on the announced roster for “Monday Night Raw” at the Thomas &Mack Center on Monday night. But John Cena, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Kane, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are.

Tickets are $23-$98 for the early 4:30 p.m. start time. Get them at www.UNLVtickets.com or by calling 702-739-3267.

Gotta hand it to art exhibit

Time to give artist Luis Varela-Rico a hand … for a hand. It’s only fitting, because the artist’s current exhibit at the Clark County Government Center’s Rotunda Gallery (through Sept. 26) depicts a steel sculpture of a large hand suspended in the air. A meet-the-artist reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. For more information, call 702-455-7340.

Lap it up and aid the dogs

No, the puppies won’t be drinking, but they and their masters will benefit from those who are. The annual One Drunk Puppy Wine Tasting Event is from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Veil Pavilion at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Pets for Vets, which is dedicated to providing service dogs to disabled veterans. Tickets, which are $40, include appetizers, entertainment and beverages including not only wine but also craft beers and sakes. A silent auction also will be part of the festivities. Call 702-263-7777 or visit www.SilvertonCasino.com.

’Soul Funkdafied’ on tap

Monday used to be the night you caught up on laundry, until “Rock of Ages” actor Mark Shunuck made “Mondays Dark” a place where show people want to be. This Monday’s benefit for His Love Street Hotel is called “Soul Funkdafied” and backs up the promise with Mary Wilson, Clint Holmes, Earl Turner, Michael Grimm and others. The funk patrol begins at 8:30 p.m. Monday in Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road. Admission is $30 at the door; $20 with a non-perishable food donation.

Still Mighty Mighty great

Hit the thrift store, find the most garish plaid sportcoat that you can find, and then wear that bad boy when you go see ska punk lifers The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, who are still touring in support of their latest record, “The Magic of Youth,” even though some of these dudes are in their 50s. See them at 8 p.m. Sunday at Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq, 3545 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $38.50 in advance, $44 day of show; call 702-862-2695.
