Local stages packed with variety of music, dance performances for fall

From far afield and close to home, fall’s performing arts calendar promises a world of entertainment.

From The Smith Center for the Performing Arts to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, local stages will light up with a variety of music and dance attractions this season.

Classical stars from the Kronos Quartet to the Boston Pops, along with performances by such local companies as the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Nevada Ballet Theatre and Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theatre, performing world premieres and old favorites. Broadway luminaries from Audra McDonald and Betty Buckley to Tommy Tune. Benefits for the Joe Williams Scholarship Fund, Aid for AIDS of Nevada and the Huntridge Foundation. And more.
