Beer will be flowing freely (but it’s not free) in Southern Nevada

It’s going to be a beery weekend in Las Vegas. The Brew Local! festival showcasing more than 20 Nevada craft brewers is scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday (VIP entry at 2 p.m.) at Village Square, 9400 W. Sahara Ave. Admission, which includes 5-ounce beer samples, is $30 in advance, $40 at the gate; VIP admission, with entry at 2 p.m., is $40 in advance, $50 at the gate. Meanwhile, the first Boulder City Beerfest runs from 2 to 6 p.m. (1 p.m. entry for VIP) in the city’s Wilbur Square Park, with 20 beer tents, six food trucks and 10 specialty vendors. The annual Lutefish and Meatballs Dinner hosted by the Sons of Norway Desert Troll Lodge will begin at 5 p.m. (doors open at 4) Saturday at the Elks Lodge at 1217 Nevada Highway in Boulder City.
