Here’s what’s happening in pop culture
Here are a few recent pop culture tidbits that caught our eye.
■ A Southern Nevada golf facility experiments with easier-to-make 15-inch cups. Next up: foam footballs, because cowhide stings.
■ Taylor Swift leaves country music and releases what she calls her first “official” pop album. To revisit country for a second: That horse left the barn a couple of albums ago.
■ Network football announcers try to figure out how to refer to the Washington Redskins this coming season. Because “those guys with the guy with the feather on their helmets” takes too long to say.
■ Meryl Streep reportedly sells her Hollywood Hills home to the New York Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez. The real estate agent who handled the sale was a disguised Meryl herself.
