Starr and Moon once tried to crash the set of ‘Happy Days’

Ringo Starr and hard-partying Who drummer Keith Moon tried to storm the set of “Happy Days” decades ago but got chased away, “Happy Days” star Ron Howard divulged in a recent Rolling Stone interview in Vegas.

Partiers Starr and Moon thought they could just show up and appear on “Happy Days,” TV’s top-rated comedy at the time, Starr confirmed to the magazine in a Vegas hotel suite.

“Everything stopped and the assistant director tried to keep rehearsal going,” Howard explained, “but Henry Winkler and I said to [the assistant director], ‘Get the (expletive) out of here! We’ll catch up later!”

Paul McCartney, Starr and Howard revealed this and other new Beatles stories to journalists here while promoting Howard’s new documentary, “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week — The Touring Years,” featuring newly found footage of the Beatles on stage as filmed by fans and other amateurs.

Snoop Dogg is making an appearance from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the grand opening of Jardín Premium Cannabis Dispensary, where all sales proceeds will benefit wounded U.S. troops via the Phoenix Patriot Foundation. He’s free to see if you’ve got a card to get into the shop.

Also Friday, the $200-buy-in Jennifer Harman Celebrity Poker Tournament to Benefit the Nevada SPCA begins at Planet Hollywood. On the 5 p.m. red carpet: Chumlee, former NFL star Gerome Sapp, comic Sammy Shore, Dustin Diamond from “Saved by the Bell,” BMX rider and Las Vegan Ricardo Laguna, “American Restoration’s” Tyler Dale, many poker pros such as Daniel Negreanu and Doyle Brunson, and dozens of Vegas entertainers like Jeff Civillico, magician Lance Burton, Marc Savard, and Lisa Marie (the entertainer, not Presley).

On Nov. 18-21, the Aria will host this year’s Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation Leaders & Legends Event, featuring athletes and other famous sports fans, including Joe Montana, Dennis Eckersley, George Will, Joe Torre, David Eckstein, Olympic men’s basketball coach Bob Knight, Rollie Fingers, Jerry Reinsdorf, Jose Hernandez, Alison Levine, swimmer Dara Torres, agent Dennis Gilbert, and soccer star Carli Lloyd. The cheapest sponsorship price to hang out with these people at dinners, cocktail parties and a gala: $10,000.

“Bachelor in Paradise’s” Daniel Maguire will walk a red carpet outside club Chateau in the Paris hotel at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The carpet is free to see for social media creators and everyone else.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler saw “One” at Mandalay Bay Friday with a girlfriend and friends. Teller, of Penn & Teller, was at the show separately.

Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke Hernandez on Monday took friends and family to party at Marquee nightclub in the Cosmopolitan after they dined at Tao restaurant in the Venetian.

Golf pros Andres Gonzalez and Natalie Gulbis played at different booths at Topgolf Saturday.

And boxer Jorge Linares played Topgolf Sunday, as did Rapper Nelly and friends.

Washington Nationals baseball player Bryce Harper, the Las Vegan, played Topgolf with a brother and friends.
