Design Zone exhibit opens at Discovery

The Discovery Children’s Museum’s new exhibit Design Zone opens on Saturday. Design Zone uses hands-on activities to show how design concepts become real-world experiences in the arts, entertainment and extreme sports. Gaze at the stars on Saturday evening

The Neon Museum will host a stargazing program called “Stars and Stardust” from 6-9 p.m. Saturday. Held in partnership with the Las Vegas Astronomical Society and the College of Southern Nevada’s planetarium, the all-ages event will give visitors the chance to observe the night sky with a professional telescope, take part in a scavenger hunt and make space-themed art. neonmuseum.org/happenings

Burlesque, bingo night at Artifice

Artifice hosts I-Spy Burlesque, a cross between burlesque and bingo, on Saturday. Performer takes off a glove? Mark a space! Performer twirls her tassels? Mark a space! You get the idea. Want to see ‘Rent’? You’ll need a little luck

“Rent” opens Tuesday at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The 20th anniversary touring production of Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical is in town for five days, through Feb. 4, and is virtually sold out. Bourbon flights new at Park on Fremont

Park on Fremont, 506 E. Fremont St., has debuted bourbon flights. Each offers three 1-ounce pours of various titles. The first flight tier includes Angel’s Envy, Woodford Reserve and Basil Hayden’s, priced at $32. The second small-batch flight includes Four Roses, 1792 and Colonel E.H. Taylor for $29. A rye flight includes Bulleit 95 Rye, High West Double Rye! and Templeton Rye for $27.
