Get ready for eggs, activities and the Easter Bunny

Prepare your straw baskets, pillowcases, brown bags or other container of preference: The Easter egg hunt is afoot.

Families will find a variety of Easter egg hunt options for children of all ages taking place over the next few days. Adults also can get in on the fun, just be sure to BYOB: Bring Your Own Basket.

Friday

What: Kids age 3 to 11 can bring their Easter baskets to Rafael Rivera Community Center, 2900 E. Stewart Ave., to hunt for eggs and other treats.

What: Kids 1 to 11 can participate in Johnson's 18th annual Hopping Egg Hunt at Johnson Community School, 340 Villa Monterey. Be sure to bring a basket for collecting.

What: Kids 2 to 8 can join the egg hunt at Clark Community School, 3074 Arville St. Participants must bring their own baskets.

What: Adults age 50 and older can get in on the Easter egg action at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave. Bring your own basket.

Saturday

What: Families can participate in the Easter Seals Southern Nevada's Walk with Me and Easter carnival at Bunker Family Park, 7351 W. Alexander Road. A two-mile walk kicks off the event, followed by the carnival. Families can hunt for eggs and get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny. Carnival games and bounce houses also will be available.

Time: The music and refreshments start at 7 a.m. with the walk scheduled for 9 a.m. and the carnival at 9:30 a.m. The fun ends at noon.

What: A half-marathon, family 5K and Easter egg hunt will be offered at St. Jude's Ranch for Children, 100 St. Jude's St. in Boulder City.

Time: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost: Event is a benefit for St. Jude's Ranch.

What: The Easter Bunny will be on hand at the Springs Preserve's first Egg-Stravaganza Celebration, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. An egg hunt, hat parade, bunny petting pen and photos with the Easter Bunny are all scheduled. Arcade games and a bounce house will be available, too. The egg hunt will be divided by age groups.

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cost: $8 per person for an all-access Bunny Hopper pass, which includes the egg hunt and unlimited access to other activities. Or purchase egg hunt admission only for $4.

What: Hop & Shop at Town Square's Easter Egg Hunt and Family Festival, in the Town Square Park, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Children 1 to 10 years old can participate and must bring their own baskets for the hunt. They are scheduled for every half-hour.

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first egg hunt starts at 10 a.m.; the last hunt starts at 4:30 p.m.

What: Clark County Parks and Recreation Bunny Boogie will be at Mountain Crest Park, 4701 N. Durango Drive. An egg stroll for children 10 and younger will be offered; they must visit participating booths to receive plastic eggs filled with treats and prizes. Other activities include face painting, balloon artists, rides and more.

Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The egg stroll is divided by age groups: Ages 1 to 3 are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m.; 1 to 2 p.m. is for kids ages 4 to 6; and 2 to 3 p.m. is for ages 7 to 10.
