Inflammatory Izzy Cox brings hot tunes to town

What does that mean?

Well, for Austin’s Izzy Cox, said description is a means of characterizing her wide-ranging sound in a way that’s as all-over-the-place as her music itself, which is a mutant strain of backwoods blues, deep Americana and old, old-school country.

In a big, unbridled voice wild as the impulses she frequently gives in to, Cox sings of being a bad, bad girl and setting other people’s houses on fire.

Let’s see if she does the same to the Double Down.
