Las Vegas escorts are accepting Bitcoin now? One agency, so far

A Las Vegas escort company is accepting Bitcoin as payment for clients to hook up with ladies named Silk, Moon, Velvet, Minx and more.

BunniesOfLasVegas.com has a very NSFW (not safe for work) website, so you have been warned if you don’t like photos of naked escorts.

The business sent me an announcement declaring this newsworthy item, along with an offer of a phone interview with an escort spokeswoman named McKenzie.

“I think it’s convenient for the client if you can’t get cash,” she said of Bitcoin payments, “especially if they’re tech-savvy.”

McKenzie, in her early 20s, still gets paid in U.S. currency by the company.

Bunnies doesn’t accept credit cards or Google Wallet, McKenzie said.

I asked if anyone has ever tried bartering for her services. She laughed.

“Not yet.”

Where will McKenzie spend her money which originates with Bitcoin?

She has the usual bills of housing, insurance and utilities, naturally, but escorts carry higher “girl stuff” expenses for their “attention to detail,” she said.

“Nails, hair, makeup, everything has to be on point,” McKenzie said.

“If I choose to go out and buy a lot of clothes at one time, or a lot of makeup, it can be $1,000 or close to it, for maintenance, hair, nails, eyebrows,” she said. “It’s worth it, though.”

Men have it easier, she said.

“My clients are usually well-kept themselves, so you know, a gym membership, hair. I don’t know if they go to the spa,” she said. “But it’s probably a lot less than what I spend.”

McKenzie is an escort of her generation, putting in a lot of work at the gym and in Whole Foods.

Her typical day?

“I get up in the morning and go to the gym, come home, eat or go for lunch, tanning, shopping, and I go to the gym again for a second time during the day, and then I get ready to go to work, take calls or meet somebody,” she said.

“I do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach. I do about 45 minutes to an hour, sometimes. And I do weights. And then I probably do a shorter, second session of cardio in the afternoon.

“I eat a low-carb diet. I don’t drink any alcohol. A lot of protein, a lot of vegetables, whole foods, nothing processed.”

I asked what Bunnies’ rates are but she directed me to the website, which doesn’t advertise rates. How much does she earn in a year?

“I haven’t really added it up yet, but I’m sure it’s closer to six figures,” she said.

She loves Vegas and likes the business.

“They’re all really nice girls to work with. There’s no cattiness, and no drama. They’re all great, which is weird. You don’t find that very often.”

What does she think people should know about her?

“It’s not what everybody thinks. We’re smart,” she said. “A lot of us went to college. A lot of us have part-time jobs. This is something we enjoy doing. We enjoy meeting new people.”

She said she chooses what to do with clients.

“I don’t do anything unless I want to,” she said. “I’ve only had a few bad experiences, and I wouldn’t even call them that bad. I haven’t had any scary experiences. I’ve had a couple of clients that weren’t as nice as they could have been. But the majority of my experiences over the years have been great, and I’ve met a lot of interesting people from all over the country and everywhere.”
