Miley Cyrus will break in Beacher’s Madhouse

No reason to wait until New Year’s Eve if you can jump-start the party with Miley Cyrus.

A so-called “soft opening” turns into a big night at Beacher’s Madhouse, the variety show that opens Friday. Its namesake is impresario Jeff Beacher, who ran a weekly version of the Madhouse in the early 2000s at the Hard Rock Hotel, before moving it to Hollywood.

The new 250-seat Madhouse remodels the space formerly occupied by the Crazy Horse Paris topless revue. It will ramp up to a twice-nightly “modern vaudeville show,” as Beacher calls it, in a party atmosphere provided by Beacher’s signature cast of sideshow performers and little people.

Cyrus is among the many celebrities Beacher has befriended. The plan is to catch Britney Spears’ debut at Planet Hollywood Resort, then head back to the MGM to christen the new room; Cyrus is billed as “host” with unspecified duties.

“We did a couple of her birthday parties and became good friends. She’s a really brilliant girl, absolute genius,” Beacher says of Cyrus. “Creatively we’re on the same page. … She was available that night and coming in, so we put it together.”

Amazon Ashley, a 6-foot-7 (without heels) exotic dancer featured in Cyrus’ infamous twerk-a-thon on the MTM Video Music Awards, is now “one of our breakout stars, thanks to Miley,” Beacher says. The dancer will perform at the Madhouse for a month before going on tour with Cyrus.
