MISSING LINKS

Animal Planet has a spinoff Web site that combines sensible ways to go green with adorable claymation animals (think Wallace and Gromit) in less than adorable situations. On animalssavetheplanet.com you can see a jellyfish fall in love with a plastic bag, recycling lions and a cow that flies -- thanks to an overabundance of methane gas.

So, it's time to bring out an oldy, but goody of a Web site. Snopes.com should be everyone's first stop whenever fishy information pops up in an e-mail. The Web site tracks rumors, fallacies and oddball information, and lets you know how truthful items are.

Last, when you can't have good news, maybe it's just best to block out the news. Plug a link into recessionblocker.com such as CNN Money, for example, and any "unwelcome" or downbeat words are blacked out. It's like downturns in the Dow never happened.
