The story: On a mission to Dublin, kick-butt covert operative Mallory Kane discovers she's been double-crossed and finds herself on the run, battling to outwit her pursuers, protect her family -- and exact revenge on those who betrayed her.

The buzz: Las Vegan Carano (daughter of former UNLV quarterback Glenn Carano) makes the jump from mixed martial arts fighter to kick-butt action heroine, but she's far from the only "Haywire" player with a Vegas connection; director Soderbergh, after all, spent about a month on location here helming 2001's "Ocean's Eleven" remake.
