Celebrate Sammy Hagar’s birthday

Did you buy Sammy Hagar a birthday present yet?

No?

How selfish of you.

Well, you can make up for your stingy, inconsiderate ways in a few weeks.

While Hagar normally celebrates his birthday with a concert at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Mexico, Hurricane Odile has forced him to relocate the festivities this year.

And so Hagar is bringing his belated birthday bash to the new Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on Oct. 18. The show will feature Sammy Hagar & The Circle, where he’ll be joined by his Van Halen running mate Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson, playing songs from Hagar’s entire 40-year career, from Montrose through Van Halen and more.

Expect some Led Zeppelin chestnuts as well with Bonham in the fold.

Then, for the encore, guitar hero Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith will join in for a Chickenhead set.

So, what to get Hagar for his special day?

We heard he likes tequila.
