After taking a year off, organizers of Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival have announced plans to revive the event next spring.
The 15th installment of Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival is set to take place April 2 at Desert Breeze Park.
Living up to the athletic portion of its handle, the next edition of Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival will include the VegasAmJam, a showcase for local skaters and BMX bike enthusiasts, who will compete for prizes.
As for the music: In past years, Extreme Thing has featured a slew of punk and metal acts such as Taking Back Sunday, the Used, Killswitch Engage, New Found Glory, Underoath, Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion and Five Finger Death Punch. So far, next year's lineup includes Saosin, the Story So Far, Mayday Parade, Bayside, the Maine, Blessthefall, Chelsea Grin, Secrets, Carifex, the Color Moral, Defeater, Set It Off, From Ashes to New, Molotov Solution, Be Like Max and Better Off.
Tickets for Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival are available at ExtremeThing.com for $17; the price goes up $3 after Jan. 1 until April 1, and then increases again to $25 if you wait to pick up tickets the day of the show.
