Righteous Brother surprises Michael Grimm with special presentation

Michael Grimm was surprised onstage Monday night by his former boss, Righteous Brother Bill Medley, who crashed the "America's Got Talent" winner's album release party at Green Valley Ranch.

"I discovered him!", proclaimed Medley, who employed Grimm in his band before the NBC-TV talent show victory last year.

Medley's official business was to present Grimm with his Review-Journal Best of Las Vegas (staff) award for Best Singer. But Medley had just flown in from Canada and was winging it when he explained, "They vote for best, uh, ...like best lounge singer ...best lion ...best puppet."

Egged on by the crowd, Medley upgraded Grimm to "Best Singer of the Century" and then again to "Best Singer in the World."
