Your 5 best bets for music on New Year’s Eve

Maroon 5

For the third straight year, Maroon 5 will help usher in a new year in Las Vegas. The outfit, led by Adam Levine, is slated to play 8 p.m. shows Wednesday and Thursday at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Tickets range from $91.28 to $213.76.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars, whose song with Mark Ronson, "Uptown Funk," was just added to the Fountains of Bellagio show, will be helping Las Vegans celebrate New Year's Eve down the block at the Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan. The show is sold out, but you may be able to find tickets on the secondary market.

Slash

If you have something a little more rocking in mind for New Year's Eve, guitar god Slash is due to ring in 2016 at House of Blues with Miles Kennedy & the Conspirators on Thursday. Tickets for that show, which starts at 8 p.m., range from $39.50 to $65.

Dance 2015 away

If you'd rather dance Thursday, you've got plenty of options, including Calvin Harris at Omnia ($150 for ladies, $250 for men, presale), Diplo at Surrender Nightclub ($75 for ladies, $150 for men), Tiesto at Hakkasan ($100 for ladies, $200 for men), Alesso at XS Encore ($75 for women, $150 for men), and Pretty Lights at Brooklyn Bowl ($79.95 to $125).

Pop stars

There are also plenty of pop stars to help you celebrate: Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy is doing a DJ set at Vanity at the Hard Rock, Fetty Wap is at Marquee at the Cosmo, Snoop Dogg is at Tao, J Cole is at Light, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are at Drai's, and Nick Jonas is at Foxtail ($75 for women, $100 for men.
