Benny Benassi spinning at Cosmo’s Marquee

The great Benny Benassi performs tonight at Marquee nightclub in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. He's best known for his hits "Satisfaction" and "Cinema."

One of the craziest things about the Italian DJ-producer's decades-long career is several of his music videos, "Satisfaction" and "Who's Your Daddy?," have been age-restricted on YouTube.

That seems bizarre to me, since those videos aren't soft-core porn. They just feature female models doing tongue-in-cheek actions, such as using power tools while the camera focuses on their bikinis.

So I emailed Benassi and asked him if he thinks that's as silly as I do. Benassi answered tongue-in-cheek:

"Personally, I don't think anyone over 30 should be allowed to view them."

Ha. OK, fine. I'll give up my YouTube rant, for now. Benassi is touring Vegas with a new track, "Perfect Storm," featuring Pink is Punk.
