Rainbow Company boards ‘The Orphan Train’

"The Orphan Train" will be presented by the Rainbow Company Youth Theater Friday through April 11 at Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Appropriate for ages 8 to adult, the family drama tells the story of a train that left New York City on May 28, 1914 and traveled to Midwestern towns to find homes for unwanted orphan children. The tales of nine children unfold in this heartwarming play .

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and April 8, 9 and 10, and 2 p.m. Sunday and April 10 and 11. Tickets priced at $3 for children age 12 and younger, $5 for teens and seniors, and $7 general admission are available by calling 229-6211.

Brian Kral will direct a cast of 13 youngsters and nine adults in this play by American playwright Aurand Harris.
