Al Pacino on a Vegas stage, but not in character

The pressure’s on for Al Pacino. We figure he can handle it.

Pacino has been taking his live show “Pacino: One Night Only” to places such as the London Palladium. But those places weren’t the very stage at The Mirage where the late impressionist Danny Gans spent more than eight years reciting Pacino’s climactic courtroom speech from “Scent of a Woman” word for word, night after night.

So does this mean that on Saturday, the real Pacino not only has to give us that one, but chase it with the “You’re out of order!” courtroom speech from “… And Justice for All”?

Then throw in the “Attica!” negotiations showdown from “Dog Day Afternoon”?

Drop “The Godfather” and “Scarface” quotes your brother-in-law always misquotes?

Not bloody likely.

But he may just talk about all of those iconic film moments, and you will see them in film clips. Based on other cities, we can expect Pacino to pull up an easy chair alongside an onstage moderator in a format reminiscent of “Inside the Actor’s Studio.”

But he does take questions, so get them ready. The pressure’s on.

While this is Pacino’s first time on a Las Vegas stage, he’s said to have family in town. At least once, he did the locals thing by taking in an Air Supply show at The Orleans back in 2007.
