Jennifer Lopez (finally) on for Planet Hollywood

Jennifer Lopez has been so long rumored as the Strip’s next star-showcase diva that questions have been less about “Will she or won’t she?” than “Where and when?”

Those have now been answered: J-Lo will launch at least 20 shows at Planet Hollywood’s Axis Theater starting Jan. 20, returning in February, May and June. Tickets range from $59 to 219 before fees and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the venue and through Ticketmaster.

A news release says the pop star, actor and “American Idol” judge will headline a show “created just for the Vegas stage,” perhaps in all or part what invited guests saw in a private show on New Year’s eve at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

“I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life,” Lopez said in a prepared release. “The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love — dance, hip hop, Latin and pop. It’s going to be the show I’ve always dreamt of creating.”

As far back as December, AEG Live executives had said the only obstacles were due to scheduling for the 45-year-old star, not her desire to headline.

The 2016 dates that go on sale Saturday: Jan. 20, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30; Feb. 3, 5, 6, 9 May 22, 25, 28, 29; June 1, 3, 4, 8, 11, 12.
