Strip Tips: Fashion show, price increase and a summer exhibit

Lifestyle blogger Jordan Reid and Brazilian model Camila Alves-McConaughey will host a fashionable afternoon Saturday at Macy’s in the Fashion Show mall.

Alves-McConaughey, the wife of actor Matthew McConaughey, serves as Macy’s INC brand ambassador. Reid operates the blog Ramshackle Glam. Both will be on hand for a spring fashion show at the mall’s Great Hall stage, where the latest Macy’s INC fashions will be showcased.

Guests are invited to a shopping party where discounts will be given on INC merchandise. Refreshments will be served and guests can meet Alves-McConaughey. A $500 shopping spree with Alves-McConaughey, Reid and an INC specialist will be given away to one guest, too.

Price increase

Ticket prices are going up $2 for Madame Tussauds Las Vegas at The Venetian. You have until the end of May to enjoy the current prices; after that, tickets will cost $29.95 for adults and $19.95 for children ages 4 to 12. You can get a 20 percent discount if you book your tickets online at madametussauds.com/lasvegas or by calling 702-862-7800.

Summer exhibit

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is transitioning from the spring exhibit to the “Summer Garden” exhibit. If you visit Friday or Saturday, you can catch workers putting the finishing touches on topiaries and other attractions. The new display is expected to debut Sunday and will run through Sept. 8.

The conservatory is open 24 hours daily but guests can interact with Mr. and/or
Mrs. Green Thumb between 10:30 and
11:30 a.m. They can answer questions about the gardens and even give a few tips on gardening.

Also, catch live music performances from
5 to 6 p.m. daily in the Victorian Gazebo in the South Garden.
