Statue gives employee wine-god scare of her life

I heard this funny little Vegas story the other day.
There used to be a bonus animatronic free show in one corridor of the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace.
But it was glitchy and taken away. If you stand in that hallway, you’ll still hear tourists asking employees when this show-that-isn’t-there-anymore will begin.
Last year, before the Bacchus and other statues were carted away, employees got used to the Roman god of wine just sitting there, doing nothing, never moving.
Then one day, jewelry saleswoman Teresa Reed was working in Vicci jewelry (since closed) when she got the wine-god scare of her life.
“So I’m standing behind the counter, a customer just walked out of the store, and all of a sudden I heard, ‘Ah-hahaha!’ The statue came to life!” Reed said. “I almost fell over.”
“That was their last movement ever, and then they took them out,” said Reed, who works in Tourneau in the Forum Shops now.
Some animatronic statues remain in other parts of the Forum Shops, but online reviews are unkind, since gods don’t work as perfectly and constantly as people would prefer, n’est-ce pas?
