‘Teen Mom’ ready for dancer awards
One of the year’s bigger pop-culture stories has been the transition of Farrah Abraham from MTV star to adult-film seductress.
For three years, she was considered a conscientious mother on “Teen Moms.”
Suddenly in May, she was the featured attraction in “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.”
Abraham defended herself against Dr. Phil and against an ex-friend who claimed she is a gold digger.
On Tuesday, Abraham is coming to Las Vegas to host the Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo & Tradeshow at Crazy Horse III.
I phoned her at home in Austin, Texas. She was on message for Crazy Horse III.
“I’m excited because I get to host on Aug. 20 their Exotic Dancer Awards kickoff party. I know they previously won the ‘Best Club In The West’ award.”
Abraham, who was charged with DUI in March, said she loves Vegas.
“You know why? It feels like there’s not police out to throw you in jail and give you DWIs and stuff.”
The first time she came here was June 14 to play celebrity host at Sapphire Pool and Dayclub. People from Sapphire dined her at The Cosmopolitan and took her clubbing, she said.
“I got to party with some of, like, what is it, the football winners from this past year at the Super Bowl,” she said.
“I ended up partying with, like, lots of celebrities and different sports players, and whatnot,” she said. “It was certainly a fun time.”
She is coming to town single. What kind of man does she date?
“I’m dating company owners, club owners. I date people who are entrepreneurs and business-minded, like myself. They have to be family-oriented, funny, and they have to love to travel. If you have those similarities as me, we can get along.”
Why is she drawn to businessmen?
“Because I feel like, I mean, I talk about business a lot. If the other person isn’t business-oriented, that would be a big problem for me. I probably couldn’t respect that.”
What would it take for someone to buy her a drink at Crazy Horse III?
“Personally, I don’t drink when I’m working. I’m trying to keep myself together and not a sloppy mess. So I don’t think I’ll be drinking too much. But I would say, ‘Thank you for the offer.’ ”
She enjoys meet-and-greets with fans.
“Usually, guys are super respectful. They compliment, and they just have a great time. They don’t ever act too queasy.”
She won’t be stripping here, but she takes pole fitness classes every month.
“I have to quit doing it so much because I get beat up. It looks like I have bruises all over me and stuff. So I give it up to the pole dancers because they are really fit.”
Why is she living in Austin?
“Because Austin keeps it weird.”
In what ways?
“In the right ways!”
Abraham is a celebrity endorser of Raspberry Tones, a weight-loss supplement. What’s that about?
“It just suppresses your appetite, and it keeps you looking thin all summer long, or for whatever photo shoot.”
She is writing a sequel to her book, “My Teenage Dream Ended.”
“Hopefully next year, I’ll start on my restaurant, because that’s, like, my ultimate goal right now. I’m going to have it in Austin and hopefully branch out to every city.”
