The D might be Keselowski’s lucky charm

The next time Brad Keselowski shows up in Las Vegas, he might find a steak named after him at The D’s Andiamo steakhouse.

After Keselowski crossed the finish line at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, completing his double-win weekend, The D’s owner, Derek Stevens, tweeted maybe it was the “good luck” steak Keselowski had Thursday at Andiamo.

Keselowski stayed for the steak after a Miller Lite-hosted meet-and-greet that included his car in front of The D on Fremont Street.

“This was a cool one,” Stevens said. “I’m a Detroit guy, and so is Brad. He lives a couple miles from my home in Detroit.”

After the meet-and-greet, Stevens asked Keselowski whether there was anything else he could do for him.

“I’d love a steak,” Keselowski said. “Being from Detroit, he knew about Andiamo’s reputation as a steakhouse.”

Four NASCAR teams stayed at The D, formerly Fitzgeralds. Stevens and brother Greg, majority owners of the Golden Gate casino, spent $22 million on a rebranding and opened The D in fall 2012.

The D staff was all abuzz over Keselowski’s big weekend. He won the Nationwide race on Friday for the rare double.

“Everyone’s excited, saying that we brought him luck,” said The D’s Richard Wilk, a veteran casino host.
