October 30, 2008 - 9:00 pm
Want to make sure your kids enjoy a safe Halloween?
Then head on down to Town Square, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, for the 18th annual Safe Street sponsored by radio station KSNE-FM, 106.5. Admission is free.
Children will be offered a safe place to trick-or-treat for candy and be able to show off their Halloween finest in a contest at the Abercrombie & Fitch stage.
In addition to store-to-store trick-or-treating, activities include Scary Oke singalongs at the main stage at 4, 5, 6 and 7 p.m., coloring at Tom Chase's Coloring Creation and minipumpkin painting at an area across from the main stage gazebo. Children also can have photos taken with KSNE morning show hosts Melanie and Michael in the Pumpkin Patch at Town Square Park.
There will be minigolf activities in front of the center's Puma store and live musical entertainment as well.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters representatives will be available to collect gently used clothing.
