Couple Plants Roots with Dream Jobs and Dream Home at Inspirada

Mark and Rachelle Donnelly met in San Diego nearly two decades ago and moved to Nevada in 2000 when Mark was offered a top management position. Several years later, they are proud to call themselves homeowners in Inspirada, a master-planned community in Henderson. They have also landed their dream jobs — Mark as a doctor of osteopathy at Valley Hospital and Rachelle as a personal trainer and certified nutritionist.

“When we first moved to Southern Nevada, we purchased a single-family home in the Silverado Ranch area and shortly after, decided to open up a small fitness center in Seven Hills,” Rachelle said. “But when the economy took a turn in 2008, our business was hit hard, which was a blessing in disguise because it compelled Mark to pursue his dreams of becoming a doctor.”

The couple returned to Southern California where Mark ultimately completed his pre-medicine education. In 2015 Mark was accepted into a family medicine program at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas.

“It was almost as if fate had brought us back to Southern Nevada because it was only then that we discovered the growing community of Inspirada,” Mark said. “When we learned of Inspirada’s lush parks, walkable pathways and proximity to hiking trails in Sloan Canyon, we fell in love. The resident amenities are unrivaled — from the robust lineup of community activities, events and gatherings, to the refreshing pools that our family enjoys throughout the year, it was everything we could have asked for and more. We started off renting, but we officially signed the papers to our dream home this past June.”

Mark and Rachelle are now parents to three beautiful children who attend Pinecrest Academy, Inspirada’s first elementary and middle school. Their children enjoy multiple kid-friendly amenities, including splash pads and various playgrounds and are also members of the Durango Soccer League, which recently wrapped up its 10-week season at Inspirada’s Capriola Park.

“It’s so convenient to have all their soccer practices within walking distance of our home,” Rachelle said. “We love Jolly Beans, the coffee shop at Solista Park that features hot and cold coffee drinks, fresh smoothies, sandwiches and homemade baked goods.

Many of my clients who I conduct one-on-one sessions with live in Inspirada. Our life is within a 2-mile radius, but when we want to enjoy the world-famous Strip and everything it has to offer, it’s only a short commute from home.”

“The expansion of Executive Airport Drive and Via Inspirada corridor has made my commute to and from work so easy, some days I actually look forward to the drive!” Mark added.

Inspirada is made up of five builders, including Beazer Homes, Century Communities, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Toll Brothers. Ranked as the ninth top-selling master-planned community in the country, Inspirada offers 66 model homes in 15 neighborhoods priced from the high $100,000s to $500,000s in the 1,500-acre, fully planned community in Henderson that includes four parks, six resident-only swimming pools and the Inspirada Pinecrest Academy campus charter school.

With a projected build-out of 8,500 homes, Inspirada is home to more than 2,500 residents who have access to programs and activities managed by a full-time staff that create social calendars to bring neighbors together in the parks and the Inspirada Community Center.
