Lake Las Vegas to hold Labor Day celebration

Lake Las Vegas plans to celebrate the end of summer with its Labor Day weekend celebration Sept. 1-3. Events, including live music, a margarita festival and fireworks on the lake, will be open to residents and the public.

“Our Labor Day weekend celebration is a perfect opportunity for Lake Las Vegas residents and fans to celebrate the end of summer,” said Cody Winterton, executive vice president of Raintree Investment Corp.,

Lake Las Vegas’ developers. “If you’ve been thinking of buying a home at Lake Las Vegas and are interested in finding out more about the community, we invite you to come and explore everything our community has to offer.”

Si Mee Collections, located in The Village at Lake Las Vegas, will kick off the weekend with a fashion show on Saturday from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. The show will feature designer Rosemarie Macklin’s collection as featured in Vogue UK, and it will be followed by an official after-party at Proof Tavern with DJ Nino from 9 to 11 p.m. The Pub, also in The Village at Lake Las Vegas, will feature live music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, with craft beer and cocktail specials all night.

On Sunday, Season’s Grocery at Lake Las Vegas will host the first event of the day at 4 p.m. with a barbecue.

That evening, the Sonrisa Margarita Festival will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. with all-you-can-drink margaritas for $59 per person. The evening’s celebration will also include live music at The Pub. The Lake Las Vegas floating stage will feature Live Island Vibes, Bonafide Reggae and DJ Knock from 7 to 10 p.m. The Lake Las Vegas Summer Fireworks Season Finale will begin at 9 p.m. on the lake.

“Lake Las Vegas is the place to be this Labor Day weekend,” said Andy Gil Garcia, director of media for Lake Las Vegas. “Whether you like fashion, food, music or fireworks, there is something for everyone to enjoy. And, if water is your passion, check out Lake Las Vegas Watersports Day on Monday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.”

Home shoppers are invited to check out dozens of floor plans from top builders, including Century Communities, Edward Homes, Lennar, Pulte Homes, William Lyon Homes and William Lyon Signature Home.

Information on Lake Las Vegas’ new custom-home neighborhood, Estates at Reflection Bay, and new-home developments is available online at lakelasvegas.com or at the community’s new Sports Club.

The Estates at Reflection Bay is a new custom and semi-custom community along Lake Las Vegas’ north shore that features a desert contemporary show home from renowned architecture firm Swaback Partners and the National Association of Homebuilders’ 2017 Custom Builder of the Year, Merlin Contracting. The home is expected to be completed this fall.

“This architectural masterpiece will set the tone for the Estates at Reflection Bay, which also features a brand new beach area and nearly 2 acres of park space,” Winterton said. “From the vantage of this stunning architectural masterpiece, it will be easy for prospective residents to see the future of Lake Las Vegas — beautiful, desert contemporary homes in a Las Vegas setting like no other.”
