1 out of 7 Americans has an interracial marriage

Interracial marriages are common in the United States. In fact, one in seven new marriages in the U.S. is between interracial or interethnic couples, according to a 2010 report from the Pew Research Center.

Asians (27.7 percent), Hispanics (25.7 percent) and blacks (17.1 percent) lead the way in interracial marriage, while less than 10 percent of white people have interracial marriages, according to the report.

Using the Pew data, an Imgur user recently posted the graphic below, which breaks down the number of interracial couples in the United States by ethnicity.
