Water Cooler: Pop culture fun, July 29

Here are a few pop culture tidbits that caught our eye last week.

■ Prince William’s wife, Kate, gives birth to a boy. ■ The child becomes third in line to the British throne and, under a little-known British law, the 5,437th Beatle.

■ Rick Harrison of the “Pawn Stars” reality series gets married in a ceremony officiated by Danny Koker of the “Counting Cars” reality series. The only thing keeping this from being the best wedding ever is the absence of the “Sister Wives” as bridesmaids.

■ Oscar Goodman says there’s interest in taking his autobiography to Broadway. Suggested play titles: “The Importance of Being Oscar, ” “The Sound of Self-Promotion” and “Goodman: Turn on the Presses.”
