1 dead after head-on crash on I-15 in Mesquite
A person is dead after a head-on crash on Interstate 15 in Mesquite on Sunday afternoon, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Troopers and first responders were called about 1:10 p.m. to southbound I-15 at mile marker 122, said NHP trooper Loy Hixson.
A vehicle was traveling on I-15 when the driver crossed the center median and crashed into a semi-tractor trailer, Hixson said. The driver of the vehicle died and the vehicle caught fire.
Lanes on both directions were closed for several hours, NHP said. By 6 p.m., all northbound lanes and one southbound lane reopened.
