1 hospitalized when car crashes into Pep Boys

A pedestrian was hospitalized with moderate injuries Saturday morning after a car crashed into a Pep Boys storefront in the central valley, Las Vegas police said.

Metro officers were called just after 10 a.m. to a Pep Boys at 637 E. Sahara Ave., near Sixth Street, where a car crashed into the store, shattering the glass and hitting a pedestrian, said Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin.

The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, Goodwin said. It was unclear if the person was standing inside or outside the store when hit, he said.

The driver was not hospitalized, Goodwin said.
