1 person injured in carjacking

Las Vegas police investigated a robbery and carjacking that left one person injured Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the 6400 block of Casada Way, near Charleston and Rainbow boulevards, about 7:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found that a robbery had occurred and a car had been stolen. While trying to drive away from the scene in the car, police said, the person involved lost control and hit several other cars before driving into a wall.

Police took the person, who had non life-threatening injures, into custody and went to University Medical Center.
