2 hospitalized after central valley crash involving up to 7 vehicles

A crash involving multiple vehicles, including a tow truck, in the central valley Tuesday morning sent two people to the hospital, Las Vegas police said.

Up to seven cars were involved in the wreck that happened about 9 a.m. just north of the intersection of Rancho Drive and Smoke Ranch Road, Metro officer Laura Meltzer said. She did not have an exact count of the vehicles involved.

Two people involved were sent to University Medical Center with injuries not deemed life-threatening, Meltzer said. At least one person was cited.
