2 hospitalized after multi bike, car crash in east Las Vegas
June 2, 2015 - 1:41 pm
Two juveniles are hospitalized and an east valley intersection is closed after two bicycles and two cars collided late Tuesday morning.
Police were called to Linn Lane at Mabel Road, southeast of the intersection of Christy Lane and Charleston Boulevard, about 11:20 a.m.
One of the drivers was driving recklessly on Mabel when he ran a stop sign and collided with another car. The second vehicle spun and hit the bicyclists, who were about 13 years old, police said.
The bicyclists were taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, said Metro spokesman Officer Larry Hadfield. Their genders were not available.
Metro initially said one of the bicyclists may have been in critical condition.
No drivers or passengers in the cars were hospitalized, Hadfield said.
