2 hurt when sedan, ambulance collide in downtown Las Vegas
August 20, 2015 - 5:00 pm
Two people were hurt Thursday morning when a Las Vegas Fire Department ambulance and a sedan collided.
It was reported about 9:25 a.m. in downtown Las Vegas, at the intersection of 4th Street and Bonneville Avenue.
The intersection was blocked to traffic for a few hours while Las Vegas police investigated.
No one was seriously injured, fire department spokesman Tim Szymanski said. The driver of the sedan and a firefighter were taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
It wasn't immediately clear how the crash happened. The ambulance was not on a medical call, Szymanski said, so its lights and siren were not on.
Police did not say whether anyone was cited.
