2 motorists hospitalized after collision with RTC bus

Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash involving two vehicles and a city bus in the northeast valley Friday, according to Las Vegas police.

Officers were called about 12:50 p.m. to a bus stop on Las Vegas Boulevard North, north of Lamb Boulevard, after a gray Chevy Malibu rear-ended a gray Nissan Frontier, causing the Frontier to crash into the back of a Regional Transportation Commission bus.

The bus was stopped in the bus lane when the crash happened, Metro spokesman Lt. George Warner said.

The two occupants of the Frontier were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, Warner said.

Some of the 12 passengers of the bus were treated at the scene for minor injuries, Warner said.
