Coroner determines baby died from suffocation

The Clark County coroner’s office has determined what killed an infant whose September death was investigated by police and social services.

Levi Harvey Wilson, of North Las Vegas, died Sept. 3 from suffocation, the coroner’s office said Thursday. He was one month and 18 days old when he was found unresponsive at his home. He was pronounced dead there.

What caused the boy to suffocate has not been determined, according to the coroner’s office.

Police investigated his death, according to a report from the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services in October.

It is typical for baby deaths to be investigated, but that does not mean police consider the deaths suspicious.

The Clark County Department of Family Services did not have a history of calls from the family, according to the state report.
