Coroner IDs boy who drowned in backyard pool

A 5-year-old boy who drowned Monday evening in a southwest valley backyard pool has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Kitiona Leoa, 5, died at University Medical Center. His official cause of death has not been determined, the coroner said Tuesday.
The boy was found at the bottom of a pool about 4:30 p.m. Monday at a home in the 5000 block of Cindy Way, near South Decatur Boulevard and just north of Desert Inn Road, police said.
There were multiple children swimming during a backyard family barbecue when adults lost track of Kitiona, police said.
Police said Monday the boy’s parents will not face charges.
