Coroner IDs North Las Vegas woman fatally shot by husband

A woman who was fatally shot by her husband Monday in North Las Vegas has been identified.

Tsai F. Mattox, 70, of North Las Vegas, died of a gunshot wound to the chest, the Clark County coroner‘€™s office said.

She was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2300 block of Plumeria Avenue, near the intersection of Losee and Lone Mountain roads. She was taken to University Medical Center where she died, North Las Vegas police said.

Tsai‘€™s husband, Arthur Mattox, 78, called 911 and said he shot his wife after they had an argument, police said.

Arthur was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on an open murder charge. His bail is set at $1 million.
