New brew master: PT's Entertainment Group has named Dave Otto as head brewmaster for its new concept, PT's Brewing Co. Otto has more than 18 years of industry experience, most recently as head brewmaster for Big Dog's Brewing Co.
Brigg's Oyster Co. debut: The restaurant opened recently in the Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive, and features an open exhibition kitchen, serving seafood classics including shellfish. Visit boydgaming.com.

Winter cocktails: Panevino, 246 Via Antonio Ave., is offering a holiday cocktail menu featuring five seasonal drinks through Dec. 24. Ri Ra holiday menu items: Ri Ra Las Vegas in The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is offering new menu items through December, including Emma's Eggnog ($10), crafted with Paddy Devil's Apple Whiskey, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, vanilla vodka, nutmeg and eggnog; Shepherd's Pie ($17), made with minced lamb, gravy, peas, carrots, leeks and mashed potato crust; and freshly baked Apple Pie ($8). The restaurant is also offering a Christmas special Dec. 25. Also, during the holiday season, guests who purchase a $50 gift card will receive an additional $10 on the card for free.

Afternoon tea: Ri Ra Las Vegas in The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has launched a traditional afternoon tea menu featuring a variety of leaf teas, finger sandwiches, homemade scones and desserts from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily priced at $22 per person. Champagne tea is also available and includes an afternoon tea meal followed by a glass of champagne for $30 per person. Cheesecake Factory holiday promotions: The Cheesecake Factory is offering its Slice of Joy Card. For every $25 in gift cards purchased, patrons can receive a Slice of Joy card redeemable for a free cheesecake slice Jan. 1 through March 31. The restaurant is also offering its holiday Peppermint Bark Cheesecake, made with white chocolate cheesecake swirled with chunks of chocolate peppermint bark, topped with white chocolate mousse and sprinkled with chopped peppermint. John's Pizza partnership: John's Incredible Pizza Co. has announced a partnership with Las Vegas-based Grant A Gift Autism Foundation to celebrate the late December opening of its location at The Boulevard Mall. 3528 S. Frank's Menu: Through Dec. 31, the Golden Steer Steakhouse, 308 W. Sahara Ave., is offering a menu dedicated to Frank Sinatra, who would have turned 100 Dec. 12. The three-course menu was created based on what Sinatra ordered when he regularly dined at the restaurant in the '60s while performing with the Rat Pack. M Resort holiday events: Through Jan. 3, Studio B Buffet at the M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is set to host its Holiday Feast to Remember, and Dec. 24 and 25, the restaurant plans to offer an omelet station from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a risotto station from 3 to 8 p.m. and complimentary champagne. Via Brasil holiday plans: Via Brasil Steakhouse, 1225 S. Fort Apache, is set to be transformed with several Christmas trees, lights and other holiday decor, and every brunch service in December will feature Santa Claus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The restaurant's all-you-can-eat, rodizio-style brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. offers eight cuts of meat carved tableside. Adult pricing for brunch is $24.99, while ages 7-12 are $16.99, ages 5 and 6 are $4.99 and age 4 or younger are free. Menus for Christmas Eve, Day and New Year's Eve are planned. Pizza company hiring: John's Incredible Pizza Co. is seeking to fill approximately 200 positions for its 60,000-square-foot Las Vegas location at The Boulevard Mall, 3528 S. Maryland Parkway. Set to open in late December, John's available positions include buffet attendant, pizza and prep cook, dining attendant, sales associate, Fun World attendant, game technician, IncrediBear mascot, party central associate and more. Buy a slice for veterans: Pizza Forte at Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road, now offers customers the option of buying a slice for a veteran. Customers will have the option of buying a Hofmann hot dog for $2, a slice of cheese pizza for $2 or an entire cheese pizza for $11.11. They will then be asked to write a thank you note on a pizza-shaped card that will be provided by Pizza Forte. Those notes will be hung up on the walls.
