GREENS & PROTEINS TO OPEN SOUTHWEST-AREA LOCATION

Greens & Proteins Healthy Kitchen, 8975 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson, plans to open a second location at 9808 W. Flamingo Road, near the Las Vegas Beltway, this month.

The eatery emphasizes clean eating with juices and smoothies, raw food and a health-conscious menu. Breakfast offerings exclusive to the new location are set to include protein pancakes with organic agave syrup and scrambled tofu.

Hours at the new location will be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

KABUKI SUSHI 101 TO LAUNCH JAN. 15 AT TIVOLI VILLAGE

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant at Tivoli Village, 400 S. Rampart Blvd., Suite 190, plans to launch Kabuki Sushi 101 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 15.

The class is set to be hosted by Yuji Matsumoto, California Sushi Academy founder and Kabuki's master sake sommelier. Attendees will have a chance to make four of Kabuki's most popular sushi rolls. Besides a hands-on tutorial from Matsumoto, the class will include sake pairing and a Sushi Swag Bag full of items needed to make sushi at home.

DUNKIN' DONUTS TO HOST FUNDRAISER

Dunkin' Donuts, 7250 S. Durango Drive, plans to celebrate its grand opening from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday with a Give Back party to benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, the Shade Tree shelter and Three Square food bank.

For each customer who purchases a minimum of $5, $1 of the purchase price wil be donated to one of the charities selected by the guest.

AGAVE'S BREAKFAST BURRITOS LIVE ON AFTER RESTAURANT'S CLOSING

Agave has closed its location on West Charleston Boulevard, but the Mexican eatery's breakfast burritos and taco cart will still be available from the parking lot of Vintner Grill, 10100 W. Charleston Blvd. The cart is scheduled to be there from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays offering $5 breakfast burritos with eggs, potatoes, specialty meats, cheeses and homemade salsas.

WAHOO'S FISH TACO TO CELEBRATE 25 YEARS

Wahoo's Fish Taco, which has locations in the Las Vegas Valley at 7020 W. Sunset Road and 1000 S. Rampart Blvd., is celebrating 25 years in 2013. To mark the occasion, Wahoo's plans to offer a new promotion on the 25th of every month in 2013, including special discounts, new menu items and a visitor reward program.

Kelly's Prime Steak and Seafood has opened in the location formerly occupied by Ruth's Chris Steak House at 3900 Paradise Road.

The restaurant features quality beef and fresh seafood, classic tableside offerings such as Steak Diane, Strawberries Jubilee and Bananas Foster, and a fully stocked bar and wine room. The menu includes house-made chicken liver pate, steak tartar, prime rib, lobster bisque, chateaubriand and Yorkshire pudding. Valet parking is available behind the restaurant.

BARLEY'S INTRODUCES IMPERIAL NUT BROWN ALE

Barley's Casino & Brewery, 4500 E. Sunset Road, has introduced Imperial Nut Brown Ale for winter. The beer is brewed with chocolate, Munich and Crystal malts, pure Vermont maple syrup and Willamette hops. It's a strong brown ale with a toasted malt character and a flavor profile dominated by hops.
