Dining Pick of the Week: Table 34

600 E. Warm Springs Road, 702-263-0034

Table 34 has no fear of triskaidekaphobia, the fear of the No. 13. That’s because the popular neighborhood restaurant is celebrating its 13th birthday in 2013. Once known as Wild Sage, Table 34 still offers original entrees such as beef meatloaf with mashed potatoes and onion gravy, herb-roasted chicken with apple-sage dressing, seared Scottish salmon with cauliflower puree, wild mushroom pizza, sautéed shrimp with angel hair pasta, linguine with chicken and spinach, and Italian sausage pizza with sweet peppers and roasted garlic. Among the salads are iceberg wedge with Danish blue cheese, marinated vegetables with quinoa and mozzarella, oven-roasted shrimp with greens and avocado, and arugula with herbed goat cheese, apples and candied walnuts. Begin your meal with split pea soup, duck confit quesadilla, steamed manila clams, New England clam chowder or grilled Maine sea scallops. Luncheon sandwiches include hot pastrami with Swiss on pumpernickel, corned beef Reuben, apple-smoked ham and Tillamook cheddar on herbed focaccia, white albacore tuna melt and barbecue chicken in chipotle wrap with crispy fried onions. Dinner entrees start at $19.50 and sandwiches at $10. Table 34 is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and for dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. — Jack Bulavsky
