Milan Frederick, 6, has received the 2013 Young King Dreamer’s Award from the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee of Las Vegas for exemplifying the characteristics and leadership qualities of Dr. King.
Milan, a student at Addeliar Guy Elementary School, is the daughter of Anthony and Vickie Frederick of North Las Vegas and granddaughter of Nita Childs and Ray and Sandy Linton.

Chance Creigh has achieved Eagle status in the Boy Scouts of America.
A member of Troop 903, he replanted and reshaped landscaping at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for his Eagle project.
A junior at Bishop Gorman High School, he is a member of the drum line and marching and concert bands.
He hopes to become a geologist and is working with Dr. Josh Bonde of UNLV on paleontological digs and is set to intern at the Desert Research Institute this summer.
