Clarissa Harris, 18, graduated Sept. 27 from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2012 graduate of the College of Southern Nevada High School, Harris is the daughter of David and Catherine Ramsey of North Las Vegas.

Heather Cirrone, 15, has been named State of Nevada DeMolay Sweetheart for 2012-13.

DeMolay is a young men's organization focused on character building.

Heather is a past sweetheart for Oasis Chapter of DeMolay and a member of Jobs Daughters International.

A student at Southwest Career and Technical Academy, she is the daughter of Tony Cirrone of Henderson.

Nathan Lee, a junior at Bishop Gorman High School, won a gold medal over 140 competitors at the U.S. Fencing Association North American Cup Oct. 12-15 in St. Louis.

Lee's medal was in the Division 2 men's epee event.

He has been fencing for six years and trains at the Fencing Academy of Nevada.

Narayan Pathi, a 2009 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, represented the Ohio State University at the Notre Dame Elite Invitational fencing tournament and won a gold medal in Senior Men's Epee on Oct. 27 in Notre Dame, Ind .

Pathi, a senior at Ohio State, has been fencing for 10 years and previously trained at the Fencing Academy of Nevada.

Adam Plant, a student at Fertitta Middle School, has been selected to play football at the 2013 Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl on Jan. 6 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Adam will play defensive end for the seventh-grade West team.

He was honored with a jersey at a ceremony at his school on Oct. 31.

Mary Mason of Las Vegas has received a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Richard Cash has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Foothill High School, Cash is the son of Tracey and Vernon Cash of Henderson.

Jeremy Crivello has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Crivello is the son of Eric Crivello of Las Vegas and Amy Bradley of Orange, Calif.

Gavin Sweeney of Henderson was one of 132 freshmen at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif., who received the college's President's Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year.

The scholarship is for $10,000 per year.

Robert Bolton has graduated from Army basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

A 2011 graduate of Chaparral High School, he is the son of Renna Jones of Las Vegas.
