Literary Las Vegas: Yetta Yvette
Las Vegas author Yetta Yvette shares her life story in poetry and prose in "Age Ain't Nothing but a Number." She said writing was therapeutic for her, and the story will go a long way toward helping people understand how she became a strong woman and entrepreneur. Yvette said people often ask, "Why are you so driven?" After reading her book, she's convinced they'll understand.

We started to converse, and he told me that he was very impressed with me. He wanted to take me under his wing. He said, "I could see in your eyes that you are very driven. When I was around your age, I too had that same drive. Business is not for everyone. It takes a certain kind of person to operate a successful business. I watched you very closely, and you are very different. You're creative, and your style is so smooth. After all, it was my overall decision to hire you. While looking over your job application, I took a liking to your resume. To me, handwriting is an expression. It tells a lot about a person, a story."
