A lecture for seniors 50 or older regarding Medicare changes for 2014 is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Howard Lieburn Senior Center, 6230 Garwood Ave.

MEMORY SCREENINGS SCHEDULED

Free memory screenings are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, 888 W. Bonneville Ave.

The event is part of National Memory Screening Day, an annual initiative of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to promote detection of memory problems.

A memory screening consists of questions and tasks to assess memory. It does not diagnose illness but can indicate whether someone should pursue a follow-up medical exam.

ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE TO BE AVAILABLE FOR AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is partnering with East Valley Family Services to provide information and enrollment sessions at several libraries for the Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare.

Sessions are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Nov. 13 and 18 at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, where enrollment assistance is set to be available. For more information, visit lvccld.org or call 702-507-3512.
